"body": "<ul><li>$325,000 in new funding for Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and 13 community organizations delivering front-line, culturally responsive mental health care across Manitoba and the West</li></ul><ul><li>Bell Let’s Talk Day on January 21, 2026 marks the next chapter of Canada’s largest corporate mental health initiative, with more than $194 million invested nationwide since 2010</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>WINNIPEG, Jan. 13, 2026</strong> – Bell Let’s Talk today announced $325,000 in new mental health funding supporting 14 community organizations across Manitoba and Western Canada, helping strengthen access to care for children, youth, families and underserved communities. </p><p>The announcement includes a $30,000 Bell Let’s Talk donation to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, supporting the creation of a dedicated, trauma-informed seclusion room within a modernized HSC Children’s Hospital Emergency Department. The space is designed to support children and youth experiencing acute behavioural or psychiatric crises by prioritizing safety, dignity and compassionate care, while enabling clinical teams to respond effectively during moments of heightened risk. </p><p>In addition, $295,000 in <a href=\"https://letstalk.bell.ca/get-funding/#community-fund\" target=\"_blank\">Bell Let’s Talk Community Fund </a>support will benefit 13 organizations expanding mental health programs and services across Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.</p><p>In Manitoba, funding recipients include:</p><ul><li>Altered Minds Inc.</li><li>Carman Wellness Connections Inc.</li><li> Kidthink Children’s Mental Health Centre Inc.</li><li> The Holistic Ongoing Opportunities Development-Facilitation and Management Services Inc.</li></ul><p>Across Western Canada, additional funded organizations include:</p><ul><li>Bring2Life Creative Counselling (Saskatchewan)</li><li>Calgary Counselling Centre (Alberta)</li><li>Fort McKay Métis Community Association (Alberta)</li><li>Muslim Food Bank and Community Services Society (British Columbia)</li><li>Saskatchewan Intercultural Association Inc. (Saskatchewan)</li><li>Sher Vancouver LGBTQ Friends Society (British Columbia)</li><li>The Immigrant Education Society (Alberta)</li><li>The Kaleidoscope Mental Health Support Society (British Columbia)</li><li>YWCA Edmonton (Alberta)</li></ul><p> </p><p>“For 16 years, Bell Let’s Talk has supported community-based organizations that are providing essential mental health supports and services where and when people need it. Investments like this strengthen our ability to respond to rising mental health needs in the community and will improve outcomes for pediatric emergency care.”</p><p>- Stefano Grande, President & CEO, Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba</p><p> </p><p>In 2018, Bell Let’s Talk supported the Children’s Hospital Foundation with funding to help purchase new single and multiuser workout equipment for future renovations and upgrades to the mental health inpatient play spaces. As part of an overall therapy plan, this increased physical activity supports youth with a reduction in depression, anxiety, and stress, teaching them coping tools for their future.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Bell Let’s Talk Day on January 21 encourages Canadians to take a moment for mental health</strong></p><p>Bell Let’s Talk Day returns on January 21, 2026, as a dedicated national moment for mental health awareness, acceptance and action.
