Bell Canada announces offering of MTN Debentures
MONTREAL, Nov. 29 2010 -- Bell Canada today announced the public offering of Cdn $1 billion of Medium Term Debentures (MTN Debentures), pursuant to its medium term debenture program. The 3.60% MTN Debentures, Series M-21, will be dated December 2, 2010, will mature on December 2, 2015 and will be issued at a price of Cdn $99.832 for a yield to the investor of 3.637% compounded semi-annually. The MTN Debentures will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed by Bell Canada's parent, BCE Inc. Bell Canada will file a pricing supplement relating to this issue with the various securities commissions in all provinces of Canada.
The net proceeds of this offering will be used for general corporate purposes, including to pre-fund debt repayments.
