HALIFAX, Jan. 7 2010 -- Bell Aliant (TSX: BA:UN) announced today the
appointment of Dan McKeen as Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions,
effective January 28, 2010.
Mr. McKeen joins Bell Aliant with a strong track record of marketing and
executive leadership in the communications and information technology
sectors. Prior to his appointment, he held a number of leadership positions
at Bragg Communications, a competitor of Bell Aliant under the Eastlink

In welcoming Mr. McKeen to Bell Aliant, Karen Sheriff, President and

internet and television markets across our territory is both first-hand and
deep. I am extremely pleased that Dan has chosen to move to Bell Aliant for
the next stage of his career."
