Bell Aliant and CEP Atlantic Communications Council Reach Tentative Agreement


HALIFAX, April 27 2010 --
Bell Aliant confirmed today that a tentative Collective Agreement has been reached with the
Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Atlantic Communications Council (CEPACC), representing close
to 3,000 Bell Aliant unionized employees in Atlantic Canada.



The tentative agreement will require the ratification of CEPACC members - that process begins
class="xn-chron">May 3, 2010
and concludes on June 11, 2010.
Results will be released by CEPACC following completion of the ratification process. If ratified,
the new agreement will replace the current agreement, which was originally set to expire on
class="xn-chron">December 31, 2011
, and will remain in effect until
class="xn-chron">December 31, 2014
.



Bell Aliant is pleased that a tentative agreement has been reached and that the union leaders will
now recommend it to the membership for acceptance.



Details on the terms of the agreement will not be discussed publicly while the ratification process
is ongoing.
