Bell launches new Québec City Summer Festival website

QUéBEC CITY, April 27 2011 -- As the presenting sponsor and official communications supplier to the 44th edition of the Québec City Summer Festival, Bell today announced an enhanced Festival infofestival.com website and infofestival.mobi mobile site.

Based on cloud computing technology, the enhanced Festival website has a new and dynamic design and is supported by a load balancing system that maximizes bandwidth use during times of high traffic volume. In 2010, the Festival website recorded more than 1.8 million visits.

The mobile web application also now enables festivalgoers to create personalized event schedules on their smartphones and share them in real time on Facebook.

Online usability and accessibility experts at Bell were involved in designing the new site to ensure Festival participants with visual impairments to navigate the site without difficulty.

"We are very happy to be able to again apply the creative and technological genius of the Bell Web Solutions team to help ensure the Festival is a great success," said Christian Goulet, Senior Director, Public Sector with Bell Business Markets. "These enhanced Festival web and mobile sites will help festivalgoers plan and share their experience throughout the 11 great days of the Québec City Summer Festival."

Bell's popular information kiosks will also be set up at various strategic spots throughout the Festival to provide relevant and up-to-date program information to visitors.
