Bell invites you to take control of Place des Festivals during Nuit blanche à Montréal tomorrow

MONTREAL, Feb. 25 2011 -- Thanks to Bell's leading technology, Montréalers will be able to control the lights and participate live in the atmosphere at Place des Festivals on February 26 during the Nuit blanche event.

A video showing two people controlling the lights of the Montréal Exchange tower was broadcast on YouTube on February 15 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8NCl_Qcfu8, with more than 52,000 viewers to date. You can also watch Bell's new followup YouTube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG1qc12Eb7E.

This Saturday, Montréalers will have a chance to enjoy a similar experience live at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Jeanne-Mance streets.

The event will allow Montréalers to interact via iPad with the fresco of light to be projected onto the Musée d'art contemporain and around the Bell Box installed for the occasion. Participants will be given full control of more than 150 projectors and be able to create 68 different lighting effects.

Organized in conjunction with the Quartier des spectacles, festival-goers will also be able to participate live in the mood music played at Place des Festivals using their mobile phones. With Bloc Jam, they can create music using their keypad and help produce an ever-changing soundtrack. This music will be combined with a coloured animation projected onto the Rio Tinto Alcan Maison du Festival. Bloc Jam will integrate participants' musical creations into the mood music, producing a unique harmony.
