Our commitment

Bell strives to foster positive and mutually respectful relationships with Indigenous Peoples and communities, including Bell team members, customers and partners. Bell supports the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. All team members are encouraged through a wide range of initiatives to learn more about contributing to reconciliation at work and in their personal lives.

In our support of Reconciliation, we will continue to advance our efforts to:

  • Provide opportunities for all employees to learn more about Indigenous Peoples and communities, including the history and legacy of residential schools and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment where Indigenous team members feel supported, respected and connected.
  • Based on understanding the unique needs and priorities of Indigenous Peoples, co-develop mutually beneficial and impactful partnerships within communities through relationship, engagement and on-going collaboration.
  • Continue to promote social justice through Bell Let's Talk supporting the culturally informed mental health and well-being of members of Indigenous communities across Canada.
  • Advance economic reconciliation in how we do business, including the inclusion of diverse businesses.
  • To further foster Indigenous on-screen and production talent, Bell Media continues to co-develop and co-produce with the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN).

Through all levels of the organization, in partnership with our Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) working group, Bell will provide opportunities to reinforce our commitment to Indigenous relations both internally and within our local communities as invited to do so.
